Casa Bonita is REAL! Yes many of our guests cannot believe that Casa Bonita, featured on South Park,
has been a fixture in the Denver Area for over 40 years and features REAL cliff divers, a show with fire jugglers, a gorilla, many arcades, themed rooms, mediocre Mexican food, seating for about 1,000 people and so much more.
Affectionately called the Mexican Disneyland Casa Bonita is a family friendly establishment that you should definitely visit during your time in Denver, Colorado.
Casa Bonita is the closest I have come to feeling like i was in the movie Goonies. Obviously we have all seen the south park episode where Eric Cartman is bringing 3 friends to Denver for his birthday celebration at Casa Bonita. However, no one thought that it was an actual place in Denver, Colorado.
When you see Casa Bonita from the street if looks amazing, with bright colors inviting you to the strip mall that contains this massive structure.
Once inside you wander a labyrinth of hallways making your way to a cashier where you order and receive a ticket with your order information. Then you walk over to a cafeteria style window where you receive your food on a tray, you awkwardly carry your tray with you until you are seated at your table.
There is a real pond in the middle of the restaurant surrounded by cliffs, the people who work there dive off the cliffs during a show that occurs about every 15 or 20 min.
Overall the place is dark, and dank and the Mexican food is Meh - but we still believe this is a Denver attraction that you cannot miss.
